So Lets Kick It Off Like This...Im On The Kushington Marley, And Thinking To Myself...Hmmmm. The Current State Of Hip Hop Is Starting To Feel Like There Are Actually Room For Spitters. I Mean With Cats Like B.O.B Making Noise And Actually Putting Out Hit Records, Maybe The Golden Era Will Be An Era That We Create. And Thats What This Is About, CREATING. Creating Something Different, Creating Something New, Thats A Responsibility That We All Have To Share...So To My Fellow Creators, Forward-Thinkers, And Punks...Do What It Do.

  1. I agree with you, hip hop is definitely veering off in a new direction that I'm sure none of us expected 5 years ago (some of you may think it's veering OFF course!). We have cats like Kid Cudi, B.o.B, and of course Drake creating massive fan bases with their new style of hip-hop. It really has changed hip hop, and I think it is in a good way. I mean, look at Wayne back in his Hot Boyz days compared to where he's at now. This guy has had such longevity in the game due to his skill AND opening new doors. Instead of highly sampled beats and heavy 808's we now see rappers like Lil Wayne incorporating live bands and instrumentation to put a new spin on it. Of course I'll always be a fan of the days when DMX dropped "Its Dark and Hell is Hot" and when Jay-Z was in his prime but I can accept the direction hip hop is going in. I actually like it a lot. Especially let's not forget how fashion is changing because of its direction. Now hip hoppers can actually come home to their girlfriends house to meet the parents because instead of wearing t-shirts down to their ankles and jeans with a waist size to fit 5 overweight white trash tubs of lard, we are now wearing (for the most part) slimmer jeans and nicer clothes. The baggy jeans and shirts are a relic of the past, but fashion usually repeats itself. What's considered old fashioned today can be trendy tomorrow. With all these new artists "creating", we can not forget about the founding fathers of hip hop. To me, there is nothing better than sipping a corona and listening to that 1 song taking you back to that time to when you first heard it.
